Voluntary Simplicity Discussion Circle

What: A group of about 10 people getting together to dicuss how they can reduce their impact on the environment in their personal lives. When we realize that the things we do all have an impact on the natural world and the peoples of this earth we want to make changes in our lives. What changes each individual wants to make is a personal choice. It may be no longer consuming animal based food, buying less stuff, investing in environmentally responsible companies, using the car less and many other choices.

Why: As we all know, changing habits can be a challenge. This group is meant to help us realize where we can make a change and to then help us implement this new habit for good.

Discussions are based on the book “Discussion Course on Voluntary Simplicity” by the Northwest Earth Institute.

When and Where: The group will meet for 8 weeks (January 6 – March 2, with no meeting on February 24), on Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:30  AM in the large RE room at UUCNWT.

Cost: $ 20 for the book (scholarships available).

Childcare: Provided if requested in advance.
